
From August 1984 until 31st October 1998 Mr Tony Walsh was the company Contracts Manager with general responsibility for all contracts. Effective from 1st November 1998 Mr. Walsh became a 20% shareholder and Director with a brief to make whatever changes that was necessary for future expansion.
Mr. Walsh qualified in Structural Engineering in 1975 from DIT and initially worked for a firm of consulting engineers in Galway City until March 1983. Mr. Walsh joined HJP in August 1984
A former chairman of the Donegal Branch of the Construction Industry Federation ( CIF ), a post he held for 8 years. He also served on the CIF National Council and CECA committee for 7 years.
He is currently an elected executive committee member of the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA).
Mr. Walsh also represents the CIF on Task Force C4 set up under the Forum for the Construction Industry. The Task Force has currently completed its work in preparing new FIDIC type Conditions of Contract for the Irish industry.
He also deals with valuations, claims, insurance's, bond, estimating, safety & health, computer systems and liasing with consulting engineers. His experiences are wide-ranging and diverse.
Mr. Walsh is also the holder of an IOSH certificate in occupational safety and is an accredited FAS Safe Pass Tutor.
Also a qualified pilot, he operates a single engine aircraft from Sligo Airport.
